Monthly Highlight - The WYO Theater
It is the mission of the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center (aka WYO Theater) to inspire, educate and entertain people of all ages by giving the performing arts a place to be seen, heard, and felt. Its vision is to become a leader in the cultural economy by providing dynamic opportunities for citizens of any age to create experiences, participate in, and enjoy world-class music, theater, and dance.
Throughout its 30-year history, the WYO Theater in Sheridan, Wyoming has prioritized education. As a part of its regular season, the WYO Theater’s Educational Series has provided free student matinees, workshops, and other outreach programs in coordination with visiting performing artists and local schools.
In the last five years, the WYO has expanded its facilities to provide more space for homegrown performing arts education. Now, the theater has launched WYO PLAY, an education initiative that includes a dynamic series of educational programs aimed at people of all ages in creative, collaborative, and playful artmaking.

Need Logo always hThe Sheridan Community Land Trust connects people to land and history in Sheridan County through community trails like Red Grade Trails, Soldier Ridge Trail, and Hidden Hoot Trail, helps families conserve and steward local lands and ranches for agriculture, open space, and wildlife, and preserves and tells stories from local history today so they aren’t forgotten tomorrow.
